We are seeking volunteers to educate recyclers about proper recycling and accepted items.
Help Sedona Recycles keep valuable materials out of the landfill by supporting recyclers at our community drop-off locations.
One of the biggest challenges we face is contamination—materials placed in the recycling bins that do not belong there. Contamination increases processing costs, requires additional sorting, and can reduce the value of recyclable materials.
As a Volunteer Recycling Educator, you will serve as a friendly ambassador for Sedona Recycles by greeting visitors, answering basic recycling questions, and helping community members place materials in the correct bins. By providing guidance in real time, volunteers play an important role in improving recycling quality and reducing contamination.
No prior recycling experience is required. We will provide training and educational materials to help you feel confident in the role.
Because this position includes training, we are seeking volunteers who can participate on a regular basis rather than just a one-time shift.
