Jean Turocy has joined us from South Carolina as the new Education and Outreach Coordinator. While working in the public school system, Jean realized that environmental stewardship was not being learned or encouraged and was determined to do something about it. She began an Environmental Science club and worked with other teachers and the county to decrease waste in schools. Jean has a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences and has taught in both formal and informal education programs, always with an emphasis on lowering human impact. She is enthusiastic about joining a community with such commitment to environmental responsibility.
